Providing comprehensive protections to cable service subscribers.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to providing comprehensive protections to cable service subscribers.

This bill would require full disclosure of rates and services being offered prior to cable subscribers making final purchase decisions and provision of accurate information by the consumer service representatives that cable operators offer as their interface with the public, and would protect against overbilling.
