Requiring the registration of vacant storefront property.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the registration of vacant storefront property

This bill would require the SBS to establish a vacant storefront registry. Property owners would be required to register when a storefront property becomes vacant for more than 90 days. Failure to register would result in a civil penalty in the amount of $1,000 for every week or portion thereof.
