A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring police officers to receive training related to recognizing and interacting with individuals with autism
This bill ensures that all NYPD officers receive training to assist them in recognizing and responding to individuals with autism as part of their academy training. The training will be sensitive to a wide variation of conditions as experienced by individuals with autism.
