Requiring school buses to operate in bus lanes during hours of operation.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring school buses to operate in bus lanes during hours of operation.

This bill would require school buses to operate in bus lanes when bus lane restrictions are in effect on a roadway. The operator of a school bus must operate the school bus in the bus lane except in order to have the school bus stop, or when it is necessary to safely turn the school bus.
