School Security - Requiring the DOE, in consultation with the NYPD, to provide additional security measures in public schools.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to door security in New York city public schools.
This bill would require DOE, in consultation with NYPD, to install door alarms where deemed appropriate for security purposes. Additionally, DOE, in consultation with NYPD, would be required to do an assessment of door alarm installations and report to the Council annually on door security measures in public schools.
