Requiring the dept of parks and recreation to plant 100,000 trees in environmental justice communities within 5 years.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of parks and recreation to plant 100,000 trees in environmental justice communities within five years

This bill would require the Department of Parks and Recreation to plant 100,000 trees in environmental justice communities within five years. If it is not possible to plant 100,000 trees in that time frame, this bill would require the Department to report to the Mayor and Council the number of trees planted and the barriers to planting additional trees.
