Prohibiting smoking and using electronic cigarettes in vehicles when a child under the age of eight is present.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to prohibiting smoking and using electronic cigarettes in vehicles when a child under the age of eight is present, and to repeal subdivision f of section 17-505
Currently under the New York City Smoke Free Air Act, private automobiles are not subject to the prohibitions found in the Act and individuals may smoke in their vehicles.
