A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of education to report information regarding students in grades three through eight receiving academic intervention services
The proposed legislation would require the Department of Education (DOE) to report information on the provision of academic intervention services (AIS) to students in grade three through eight who score below certain thresholds on state English language arts and mathematics assessments and to those students who are required to receive AIS pursuant to the DOE’s policy.
