Temporary closing of sidewalks.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the temporary closing of sidewalks
The purpose of the proposed legislation would be to increase transparency by requiring the Department of Transportation and the Department of Buildings to communicate regarding the status of sidewalk closing permits. Presumably such communication will result in the reduction of closed sidewalks due to stalled construction projects.
