Expanding the availability of electric vehicle chargers.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to expanding the availability of electric vehicle chargers

This bill would require the Department of Transportation to install and maintain, or enter into a contract with a third party to install and maintain, at least 100 public on-street fast-charging electric vehicle chargers in each borough. Additionally, this bill would require that at least one out of every 10 newly created public parking spaces be equipped with a fast-charging electric vehicle charger.
