A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to licensing and regulating furniture retail stores

This bill would require furniture retail stores to be licensed by DCA. The fee for the license would be $350 for a biennial license term. The terms of licensure would require licensees to comply with specific consumer protection measures including clear disclosure of selling price and terms of delivery, return policy and refund options, notification of delayed delivery, and requirements for the maintenance of records, among other requirements.
