A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to identifying lead water supply mains and service lines through an online interactive map and providing educational resources and tools for preventing lead contamination

This bill would require the Department of Environmental Protection to track all lead water supply mains and service lines and provide that information to the public in the form of an online interactive map. An educational and outreach campaign accompanies this bill, to inform the public about the availability of the interactive map and resources on preventing lead contamination. The Department of Information Technology and Telecommunication has shared responsibility in the design and maintenance of the interactive map.
