A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of health and mental hygiene to issue an annual report on maternal mortality

This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to report to the Council on maternal mortality. This annual report would include maternal mortality numbers and rates, disaggregated by race and borough. It would also include recommendations on steps that can be taken by the Department and others to reduce maternal mortality.
