A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to reporting on the demolition or disposition of real property owned by public housing agencies

This bill would require public housing agencies operating in the city to report information relating to the demolition or disposition of real property owned by public housing agencies. For a disposition, the report would be due 30 days before the solicitation of any bids or proposals or 60 days before the disposition occurs, whichever is earlier. For a demolition, the report would be due 30 days before the solicitation of any bids or proposals or 60 days before the filing of any construction documents, whichever is earlier. The bill would require the agencies to report the following information about each proposed demolition or disposition: a description of the nature and scope; the address of the real property; a description of the purpose and an explanation of how the demolition or disposition serves the interests of the residents; a description of each stakeholder’s role; the anticipated timeline; and a description of the agency’s plan for engaging residents.
