Regulating valet parking.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to regulating valet parking.
Title 20 of the administrative code of the city of New York grants provides the department of consumer affairs to grant licenses which include licenses to serve as retail cigarette dealers, operate sidewalk cafes and laundries, among other services for the residents of the city of New York. This bill would amend Chapter 2 of title 20 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a subchapter 34 which would regulate valet parking. This bill would make it unlawful for any person to engage in valet parking that involves the transport of vehicles on or over the public right-of-way without a valid valet parking operator license from the department of consumer affairs.
