A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to nighttime illumination during peak avian migration periods
This local law mandates that, for city-owned buildings, non-essential outdoor lighting, shall be turned off between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. during peak avian migratory periods in order to reduce or eliminate avian mortality during such periods.
