Violations received after a disaster.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to violations received after a disaster
This bill would require that the owner or occupant of a building should not be subject to civil or criminal penalties when the violation issued is either immediately after a disaster or is for conditions awaiting repair by a city disaster recovery program. It also provides for an affirmative defense to certain other violations issued during those periods. Any such penalties already imposed may be waived or refunded.
