Changing the date of an annual report related to sexually exploited children.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to changing the date of an annual report related to sexually exploited children.
Local Law 23 of 2013 requires the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) and the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) to report annually on the number of sexually exploited youth each agency has come into contact with over the course of the calendar year. Currently the report is due annually on January 1st. The bill would extend the deadline to March 1st annually in order to provide an adequate amount of time for DYCD and ACS to prepare the report. The bill would also amend the provision to require the report to be posted online and make a technical change to fix an error with the disaggregated age groups.
