Extending the rate of the additional tax on the occupancy of hotel rooms.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to extending the rate of the additional tax on the occupancy of hotel rooms

The current rate of the additional tax on the occupancy of hotel rooms is five and seven-eighths percent. Under existing law, on December 1, 2015, this rate will change to five percent. This bill would extend the current rate of five and seven-eighths percent through November 30, 2019. Beginning on December 1, 2019, the rate would change to five percent.
