A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to allowing purchases of street parking time to be made via mobile application or text message

This bill would require the Department of Transportation (DOT) to create a mechanism that would allow individuals to pay for street parking time via a mobile application or text message by April 1, 2016. The bill would allow individuals to pay for street parking digitally at all metered street parking spots.
