Discharge planning for inmates in city correctional facilities.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to discharge planning for inmates in city correctional facilities

This bill would require the Department of Correction (“DOC”) to provide or contract to provide discharge planning services to all inmates who serve a sentence of more than 30 days in a DOC facility, except for those inmates who are released to a hospital or the custody of another governmental entity.
