A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring community notification prior to the siting of certain social services facilities

The proposed legislation would require agencies operating social services facilities, including Department of Homeless Services shelters, Human Resources Administration HIV/AIDS Services Administration facilities, Department of Youth and Community Development shelters, Department of Housing Preservation and Development shelters, Administration for Children’s Services juvenile justice facilities, and supportive housing facilities overseen by City agencies, to disclose the names of property owners, developers and service providers to local community boards, council members, and on NYC Open Data 30 days before the relevant agency enters into a contractual arrangement or similar agreement with the social services facility provider.
