Bulletproof vests used by the NYPD.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to bulletproof vests used by the New York city police department.
This bill would require the New York City Police Department to use only those bulletproof vests that meet certain safety requirements related to their warranty, history of use, and fit. Such vests would also be required to meet standards for bullet resistance developed by the National Institute of Justice.
