A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the police department to submit reports on enforcement of right of way violations.
This bill requires the NYPD to report on the number of violations issued for failure to yield to a pedestrian or bicyclist when pedestrians have the right of way, including the number of violations issued for simply failing to yield, the number of violations issued where the vehicle makes contact and injures the pedestrian, the direction of the automobile turn that caused the incident in question, the type of vehicle or vehicles involved in the incident, and the outcome of the adjudication of any such violations.
