A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the sale of children’s products containing certain chemicals
The bill would prohibit sale and distribution of children’s products containing more than specified amounts of formaldehyde, benzene, lead, mercury, antimony, arsenic, cadmium, or cobalt in New York City. Violations of the prohibition would be punishable by a civil penalty of $250 to $500 for the first violation and $750 to $1,000 for subsequent violations.
