Requiring information regarding subsidized child care.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring information regarding subsidized child care.
The proposed legislation would require the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) to report to the Council and post on its website information related to subsidized child care. The bill would require ACS to report quarterly on its procedures on closing child care centers, eligibility for subsidized care, and the number of children receiving subsidized child care that are living in the shelter system, receiving preventive services and in the foster care system. The bill would also require ACS to report monthly on the number of children enrolled in subsidized child care centers, family child care networks and informal care.
