Retirement of black cars.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the retirement of black cars

Currently, Taxi and Limousine Commission rules require that black cars be retired no later than the expiration of the owner’s for-hire license or after the vehicle turns six model years old. Under the bill, black cars would not be subject to retirement so long as the vehicle passes all required inspections.
