Amending the definition of harassment to include illegal conversions of dwelling units.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to amending the definition of harassment to include illegal conversions of dwelling units.

Harassment is currently defined as performing one of a list of acts which causes or is intended to cause a tenant to leave their home. This bill would amend the harassment law to make illegally converting a dwelling unit that was intended for permanent residence purposes per se harassment.
