Requiring social workers in child care centers.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring social workers in child care centers.
The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) operates a system of child care for children aged six weeks to five years for families who meet certain income requirements. This bill would require all child care centers in this system to have a social worker on staff if the center is serving 40 or more children.
