Car sharing in the city fleet.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to car sharing in the city fleet.

The City to establish a car sharing program for the fleet of light-duty passenger vehicles owned by the City, excluding certain emergency, specially designed, enforcement, and inspection vehicles. Over a five-year period beginning in 2016, the City would be required to reduce the size of City’s light-duty passenger vehicle fleet by at least nine percent through strategies including car sharing. The City would also be required to submit annual reports on the program to the Council.
