Identifying garments worn by those operating a bicycle used for commercial purposes.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to identifying garments worn by those operating a bicycle used for commercial purposes.
The Administrative Code currently requires that commercial cyclists wear a retro-reflective jacket, vest, or other wearing apparel as the outermost garment while on the job. The back of the garment must have the business' name and the bicycle operator's individual identification number in a font not less than one inch in height. Under the bill, the information on such garments would be required to be in a font no less than two inches in height and be reflective.
