Seizure of abandoned bicycles.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the seizure of abandoned bicycles.
The bill would allow the City to seize bicycles abandoned in a public place. The proposed local law provides for a period in which an abandoned bicycle may be removed, notice of the City’s intent to remove such a bicycle, a hearing and retrieval process, and a civil penalty of $25 to $100 for abandoning a bicycle in a public place.
