Free and open source software.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to free and open source software.

This bill would require the City Chief Procurement Officer and the Commissioner of the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications to develop a plan to minimize the amount of proprietary software the City purchases and increase the amount of free and open source software the City purchases.
