Civil and criminal penalties for building code violations resulting from certain work done in response to a natural or man-made disaster.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to civil and criminal penalties for building code violations resulting from certain work done in response to a natural or man-made disaster
This bill would require that the owner of a building should not be subject to civil or criminal penalties when a cure requirement is met for violations issued for repair work previously done by the city or a third-party under contract with the city, in response to a natural or man-made disaster. It also provides for a possible waiver or refund for any such violations previously issued.
