Reporting multiple dwellings with numerous code violations.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to reporting multiple dwellings with numerous code violations.

The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is charged with enforcing the Housing Maintenance Code in New York City. This bill would require HPD to report to the Council any multiple dwelling with fifty or more open violations. The report would have to include the address of the multiple dwelling, the name of the owner, and the number and types of open violations. This report would also have to be provided to the Council Member in whose district the multiple dwelling is located.
