Allowable maximum heat loss through building walls.
A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the allowable maximum heat loss through building walls.
This bill would require that two common site of heat loss (the juncture between a building’s exterior walls and its foundations and the space where mechanical equipment penetrates an exterior wall) be included when calculating a building’s heat loss. Further, the bill would require that the air leakage of HVAC assemblies not exceed a certain amount.
