Having an inspector general within the dept of investigation who would monitor only the dept of homeless services and the human resources administration.
The Department of Homeless Services and the Human Resource Administration are both large and complex agencies. This local law would ensure that at least one inspector general is in charge of monitoring these city agencies and that that inspector general is assigned to oversee only these agencies in order to ensure that they have adequate oversight.
