This legislation would require an agency or office designated by the mayor, in consultation with the police department, to provide religious and nonprofit institutions with support in establishing and maintaining emergency plans. Such plans shall include, but not be limited to, establishing protocols to address threats of violence and safely evacuate premises as needed.
