This bill would require the Department of Parks and Recreation to consult with the Department of Education (DOE) to conduct a feasibility study on how high school students, could be trained and developed with the goal of preparing those students to become lifeguards at City managed beaches and pools. The study would have to be submitted to the Mayor and the Speaker of the Council no later than November 1, 2026.
