Summary

This bill would require the Department of Correction (DOC) to produce a biannual report on the work release program, including the number of individuals considered eligible, accepted, and rejected from the program, disaggregated by relevant demographic characteristics. The bill would also require DOC to respond to recommendations made in a report issued by the Board of Correction for optimizing decarceration under the work release program.
